All the News That Fits Into a Size Seven and a Quarter Hat

Steven Austin Welch liebt Berlin

I have an affinity for Berlin. We have been there a couple of times now and it’s absolutely one of my favorite cities. And of course for an artist, no pilgrimage to Berlin would be complete without spending some quality time at Bauhaus.

From 1919 to 1933 the Bauhaus school combined fine arts and craft works. It is legendary for its pursuit of design and is synonymous with modernism as we have come to know it. The impact Bauhaus has had on art and architecture is truly auspicious.

On a side note, both times we apartment swapped with Berliners. The exchanges went really well. We’ve house swapped 10 time or so (and every exchange does indeed come with a funny story.)Want to know the other spots we adore in Berlin? Well here you go » This is a custom google map of Berlin that specifically pinpoints our favorite galleries, shoppes, eateries and watering holes!

And on a completely unrelated note to the school, yes, I do have all of the albums by the british band Bauhaus.  Cheers, Stephen Austin Welch.
