All the News That Fits Into a Size Seven and a Quarter Hat

Secret Agent Man

Patrick McGoohan was John Drake in Secret Agent, or Danger Man which what it was originally called in the United Kingdom. A great television spy show from the mid 1960s. The American version, Secret Agent, added Johnny Rivers’ iconic recording of Secret Agent Man written by Steve Barri and P.F. Sloan.  John Drake was a man of many hats in a cool show, with cool music. And oh yes he was also Number 6 in The Prisoner a few years later.

Enjoy the original Danger Man theme and then a few versions of the great American theme song performed by Johnny Rivers, plus several cover versions and a tutorial on how to play that hot guitar part!

What’s all this?

MANHATTMAN is hosted by Norman Maslov, whose Agence Internationale, represents a small group of wonderful photographers. This blog showcases images from these artists along with scribes about music, films, food, gin martinis and hats. Pontifications from a native San Franciscan and his extended family and friends. So it goes.
