All the News That Fits Into a Size Seven and a Quarter Hat

Freestyling with Emily Merrill

Photographer Emily Merrill collaborates with Saatchi & Saatchi Wellness & Feld for a campaign refresh for Abbott.
– For a person with diabetes, blood sugar management is critical for life, but also a little painful, and occasionally socially inconvenient. This new product I shot for Abbott, the Freestyle Libre, seamlessly combines discretion with utility. A small quarter sized sensor monitor applied to the back of the upper arm constantly measures glucose levels and sends the information to a small hand held device.
My job was to visually illustrate the ease of use and the freedom that the Freestyle Libre brings to its users. It was an enjoyable challenge to tell the story of a medical appliance that has the potential to radically improve the lives of people with diabetes.

What’s all this?

MANHATTMAN is hosted by Norman Maslov, whose Agence Internationale, represents a small group of wonderful photographers. This blog showcases images from these artists along with scribes about music, films, food, gin martinis and hats. Pontifications from a native San Franciscan and his extended family and friends. So it goes.
